Dr. Michael Civin

Most recently, Dr. Michael A Civin, Ph.D has been accepting and treating both new and long-time patients at his primary medical office, as well as in several practice locations in New York, and he has been doing so with the greatest of care. for example, he co-founded Rose Hill Psychological Services, located very near Fordham University, in order to offer more affordable, but high-quality psychological services to formerly underserved populations nearby in the Bronx. Their services were so well-received, they have been able to expand beyond one office on the Upper West Side of Manhattan to yet another in Mohegan Lake, New York.

In each of those locations and in his private practice, Dr. Michael Civin and his associates remain committed to providing excellent psychological services at an affordable price. In addition to being a co-founder of Rose Hill Psychological Services, where he is a senior psychologist, Dr. Michael A Civin, Ph.D. also works in private practice, servicing the Astoria, Manhattan, and Bayville sections of New York City. Given that his pain purpose is to extend access to psychological services to more people who can’t necessarily afford them otherwise, this is a good thing for everyone in the city.

Dr. Michael Civin

Though he has been a practicing clinical psychologist for nearly three full decades, Dr. Michael Civin knew even before then that an extensive education was a necessity to become the best he could be. Obviously, he still believes this because he has never stopped pursuing academic education, to go along with the learning he gets from extensive experience.

His education started more than a half century ago, when the future Dr. Michael Civin obtained his A.B. degree cum laude with honors from Harvard. A year later, he attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine for a time, before going on to earn his first Masters of Arts degree in 1970 from the University of Oregon. He obviously wasn’t satisfied, since the future Michael A. Civin Ph.D earned a second Masters of Arts degree, this time in Clinical Psychology in 1986, from the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University. When he earned his medical degree from the same institution in 1988, he earned the right to call himself Michael A. Civin, Ph.D. in 1988 and in 1993, Adelphi awarded him a Postdoctoral Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy.
